What Does FD30 and FD60 Internal Fire Doors mean ?
A common option is a 30 minute fire door (FD30). As the name implies this type of door – which we refer to as an FD30 fire door – gives 30 minutes of fire resistance, which in many situations will be sufficient time for a complete and safe evacuation.
FD60 Fire Door will give 60 minutes of Fire resistance.
We are pleased to offer the majority of our oak, walnut or white primed, black, light grey, dark grey ash, chocolate grey internal doors as a 30 minute fire rated door option.
Internal fire doors have two important functions in the case of a fire; when closed they form a barrier to stop the spread of fire and when opened they provide a means of escape.

What styles of internal fire doors do you stock?

For example the Traditional Fire Rated Oak Ely untreated or pre finished and the Oak Galway doors are acoustic tested up to 31 dB. For a more modern contemporary design, the Oak Seville, Oak Ravello and Oak Valencia are also acoustically tested up to 31 dB.

We also offer Fire Doors which have a rating of FD60 meaning that your doors will resist the spread of fire for 60 minutes.

All of these doors are cut and glazed by expert craftsmen in the glazing centre in Cambridgeshire.
