Finishing and Installation

The Murcia Pre-Finished Oak FD30 Fire Door is supplied fully pre-finished, so no staining, oiling or varnishing is required before installation.

If the door edges are trimmed, every exposed edge must be finished with a suitable polyurethane varnish. LPD recommends a high-build, microporous product that is not quick drying to help prevent waterlogging.

This FD30 fire door can only be trimmed by 3mm from any edge. Trimming beyond this allowance will affect the fire performance of the door and invalidate its FD30 fire certification. Please follow the manufacturer's installation instructions when fitting this fire door.
